Reserved Seating
For theaters and other seated venues, Esora supports reserved seating: instead of a general-admission count, buyers pick their exact seat on an interactive map of your hall. The seat they choose is printed on their ticket and shown at the door.
Getting your hall set up
Section titled “Getting your hall set up”Seat maps are built by the Esora team — not self-serve — because every venue’s layout is different and needs to be drawn accurately. Here’s how it goes:
- Tell us you want reserved seating and which venue it’s for — get in touch.
- We build your hall map from your layout — rows, sections, seat numbers, the lot.
- You assign price tiers to seats or sections — for example, front rows at a VIP price and the balcony at a lower price. Tiers work the same as everywhere else; see Ticket Types & Pricing.
Once the map is ready and priced, it’s live on your event.
What buyers see
Section titled “What buyers see”- Live availability — the map shows which seats are open and which are taken, updating in real time.
- Seats held during checkout — when a buyer selects a seat, it’s held for them while they pay, so two people can’t grab the same one.
- The seat on their ticket — the seat label (row and number) is printed on the ticket and appears when you scan it at the door, so your staff can direct people to the right place. See Check-In: Scanning Tickets at the Door.
