Images and Videos
Great media makes your events stand out. Esora supports both images and videos, and gives you full control over how they appear.
How media works
Section titled “How media works”When events are imported from your social media, the system automatically downloads the images and videos from your posts. You can keep these, replace them, or add more.
The first item in your media gallery is the cover — it’s what users see in the event feed, search results, and event cards.
Uploading media
Section titled “Uploading media”In the Media section of the event editor, you’ll see your current media and an upload area. You can:
- Click the upload area to select files
- Drag and drop files directly into the area
Supported formats
Section titled “Supported formats”| Type | Formats | Size limit |
|---|---|---|
| Images | JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF | 10 MB |
| Videos | MP4, MOV, WebM | 200 MB |
When you upload an image, a cropper appears so you can adjust the framing before it’s saved. Videos are uploaded directly without cropping.
Reordering media
Section titled “Reordering media”Drag and drop media items to change their order. The first item becomes the cover image/video that represents your event across Esora.
Hiding and showing media
Section titled “Hiding and showing media”Each media item has an eye icon in the top-left corner. Click it to toggle visibility:
- Visible (eye icon) — shown to users
- Hidden (eye-off icon) — hidden from users but not deleted
This is useful when you want to temporarily remove an image without losing it.
Deleting media
Section titled “Deleting media”Click the X button in the top-right corner of a media item to delete it permanently.
Important notes about media
Section titled “Important notes about media”- Uploading or reordering media pins the media field — this means the automatic importer won’t overwrite your media choices in the future. See Protecting Your Edits for more details.
- When events are re-imported from social media, the system compares the quality of incoming media with what’s already on the event. It prefers vertical images and higher resolution. But once you’ve manually uploaded or reordered media, your choices are protected.
