Group Prices

A group price is a lower price per ticket that a ticket type gets when a buyer takes enough of it in one order: “From 2 tickets, each costs 4 500 AMD”. Buyers pay it automatically. There is no code to type and nothing to unlock.

Open the ticket type in the web console or in the Esora Organizer app. Under Price you’ll find Group price, one sentence with two fields:

From 2 tickets, each costs 4 500 AMD

  • From this many tickets — the smallest number of tickets that earns the group price. It starts at 2 and can’t be more than the ticket type’s per-order limit.
  • Each costs — the price per ticket from that number on. It must be lower than the regular price.

Leave the price empty and the ticket type has no group price. Clear it at any time to remove the group price; orders already placed keep what they paid.

Under the ticket’s price, buyers see one line: “2+ tickets: 4 500 AMD each”. As soon as they choose 2 tickets, the price changes to 4 500 AMD with the regular price struck through, and the total follows. Their order, email, receipt and tickets show 4 500 AMD per ticket.

Your event’s card in listings keeps showing the regular price, so nobody buying one ticket expects the lower one.

Only tickets of that ticket type in one order count. A buyer who takes 1 Standard and 1 VIP pays the regular price for both, even if Standard has a group price from 2 tickets. Two separate orders of 1 ticket each don’t add up either.

A promo code discounts whatever price is in force. If 2 Standard tickets cost 4 500 AMD each with the group price, a 30% code takes 30% off 9 000 AMD. Keep this in mind when you combine a group price with a generous code. See Promo Codes.

  • Free ticket types and registrations — there is no price to lower.
  • Ticket types sold through a seat map — seats and standing areas have their own prices. A ticket type that seats sell as can’t carry a group price, and a ticket type with a group price can’t be assigned to seats.

When you refund one ticket from an order that got the group price, the buyer gets back what that ticket cost: the group price, minus that ticket’s share of any promo code discount. The tickets they keep are never re-priced.

For example, a buyer takes 2 tickets at 4 500 AMD instead of 5 000 AMD, then asks to refund one. You refund 4 500 AMD, and the ticket they keep stays at 4 500 AMD, even though one ticket on its own would cost 5 000 AMD. See Orders, Guests & Refunds.
