Create Events Manually
Most events on Esora are imported automatically from your social media, but you can always create one by hand — for something you haven’t posted yet, or an event the importer didn’t pick up.
Tap + in the Esora Organizer app, or Create event in the web console. New event asks two questions:
- Event name — a clear, descriptive title
- How people get in — the key decision:
- Paid tickets — people buy tickets on Esora.
- Free registration — people reserve a spot for free.
- Open — no tickets, just a listing. Good for free, drop-in events.
Nothing is created until you press Create. The new event then opens on its overview, with a checklist of what it still needs before it can be published: dates, a venue, a cover image, and for paid events a ticket type — see Ticket Types & Pricing.
Drafts and publishing
Section titled “Drafts and publishing”Every new event starts as a draft — only you can see it. Take your time: fill in what you know, save, and come back to add more. In the web console, Preview shows the event the way guests will see it. When you’re ready, publish it and it goes live for people to discover.
Why can’t I publish yet?
Section titled “Why can’t I publish yet?”Before an event can go live, it needs to pass a short readiness checklist:
- A name
- At least one date
- A venue
- A cover image
- For paid events, at least one active ticket type (a free-registration event gets its sign-up automatically)
If the publish button won’t let you through, one of these is missing. Fill in the gap and try again.
About venues
Section titled “About venues”The venue has to already exist in Esora’s list — start typing and pick it from the results. You can’t add a new venue yourself. If yours isn’t there, contact us and we’ll add it.
The importer leaves your events alone
Section titled “The importer leaves your events alone”Events you create yourself are never overwritten by the automatic importer — your details stay exactly as you set them. The only thing the importer will ever do is fill in a field you left empty. See Protecting Your Edits for the full picture.
