How Your Festival Pass Works

A festival pass lets you see films at a festival without paying for each one. You pick the films you want on the festival page, and each one comes with a ticket, included in your pass. The ReA Festival in Yerevan (7–14 November 2026) is one example, but every festival on Esora works the same way.

  1. Buy a pass. You get a confirmation mail with your pass.
  2. Pick your films. When film booking opens, open the festival page and tap Get ticket next to each film you want. Each one comes with a ticket, included in your pass.
  3. At the hall, show the film’s ticket. Each film has its own ticket with its own QR code.

Your pass QR is shown once, at the festival desk, to get your badge.

Tap Open my pass in your confirmation mail, then Pick your films on the pass. You can also tap Pick your films in the mail we send when film booking opens. In the Esora app, tap Pick your films on your pass. Either way, the festival programme opens, and next to each film your pass covers you see Get ticket.

  • No account needed. The link is enough.
  • The festival page remembers your pass in that browser once you’ve tapped Pick your films. Next time, just open the festival page.
  • On another phone or computer, open your link again, and the page knows your pass there too.

A card with your pass name and what it includes, for example 2 films a day · Nov 7–14. Under it, one line tells you where you are:

  • Film booking opens … with the date, before you can pick films. We’ll email you when it opens.
  • Pick your films below, once booking is open and before you’ve picked any.
  • 3 films picked, once you’ve picked some, so you know how many you have.
  • Today: 1 of 2 picked, during the festival, so you know how many films you have left for the day.

Tap Your pass on the card to open your pass page.

Each day’s header shows the date and how many films you’ve picked that day, for example Sun 8 Nov · 1 of 2 picked.

Tap Get ticket next to the film.

  • Halls with numbered seats open the seat map, so you choose your chair. The seat costs nothing. Then you’re back on the festival page.
  • Halls without numbered seats give you a place right away, in one tap.

The button turns into Your ticket, with your seat under the film, for example Row 8 · Seat 6. Your ticket also arrives by mail, like any Esora ticket. Tap Your ticket to open the ticket with its QR, which you show at the hall.

If a pick doesn’t go through, a sheet opens and tells you why.

Each pass has a number of films per festival day, for example 2 films a day. Once you’ve picked that many on a day, the other films that day show 2 of 2 picked and a Buy button. Buy opens the film’s page, where you buy a ticket at the normal price.

Some films and other programme items are not part of the pass. They show Not included and a Buy button instead of Get ticket. Buy opens the normal checkout, at the normal price.

Bought passes for other people? Give each person their own pass. Open that pass (Open my pass in the mail, or the pass card on your order page) and tap Send to someone else, or copy that pass’s Open my pass link from the mail. Each person opens their link on their own phone and taps Pick your films, and the pass then lives there.

Don’t tap Pick your films on a pass you gave away: the festival page would count it as yours too.

If you keep several passes yourself, for example for your family, you don’t choose a pass. Get ticket uses the first of your passes that still has room that day. Tap it again to get a ticket with the next pass. Once every pass has the film, the row says 2 of 2 taken.

The row saysWhat it means

StartedThe screening has begun, so you can’t pick it anymore.

The pass page holds the pass itself. Open it from Your pass on the festival page, or from Open my pass in your confirmation mail. It looks the same on the website and in the Esora app.

  • Your pass card, with the festival, your pass name and what it includes.
  • Show pass QR. You need it once, at the festival desk, to get your badge.
  • Pick your films, which takes you to the festival page.
  • Your tickets, the films you’ve picked. Tap one to open its ticket.

Changed your plans? Open the ticket (tap Your ticket on the festival page, or the film on your pass page), tap Give back and confirm. Your seat goes back to the pool for other people, and the film no longer counts toward that day, so you can pick another one.

You can give a ticket back until the screening starts. There’s no refund involved, because the ticket came with your pass. If a give-back doesn’t go through, a message tells you why.

Picking a film closes when the screening starts. After that, the row shows Started, and you can’t pick it or give it back.

  • Pass confirmation, right after you buy, with an Open my pass button for each pass. Pick your films is on the pass.
  • “Film booking is open”, when you can start picking films, with a Pick your films button.
  • A ticket mail for each film you pick, the same as for any Esora ticket.
  • Reminders before each film you picked.
  • On the web: every ticket mail has a private order link that opens your tickets without signing in. Signed-in users also have a My tickets page. See Where Are My Tickets?.
  • In the Esora app: sign in with the same account you bought the pass with. Your pass appears in My tickets, and its page has a Pick your films button that opens the festival programme.

Email us at support@esora.app with your order code or the email you bought the pass with, and we’ll sort it out. See also Contact & Support.
